Spinal Decompression

spinal-decompression2The Chiropractic Place, P.A. in Aledo, Texas offers non-surgical, computerized spinal decompression for those with herniated or bulging discs.  If a patient is suffering from low back or neck pain and they are a candidate for non-surgical spinal decompression, they are placed comfortably on his/her back or stomach on the spinal decompression table.  He/She will then be strapped in securely using padded straps around their waist and lower chest.

This non-surgical spinal decompression is achieved through the use of a mechanical traction device that is connected to a computer that controls the specific force and angle of the disc distraction.  The enhanced computer function helps reduce the body’s natural propensity to tighten and spasm.  This state-of-the-art technology applies a traction force to the discs of the spinal column helping to reduce any intradiscal pressure greater than a non-computer table, such as an inversion table.  The patient will go through several series of alternating decompression and relaxation cycles during their treatment on the table.

Non-surgical spinal decompression is safe and effective for reducing neck or low back pain without being subjected to injections, anesthesia or surgery.
